LURED by online options promising big money through auction of old currency notes and coins, a woman teacher in Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh fell into the trap of cyber fraudsters and shocked by digital arrest, she died by suicide, police said.
After she consumed poison, Reshma Pandey (40) of Panni village in Mauganj was brought to Sanjay Gandhi Medical College in Rewa where she died. Police investigations have revealed that in December, she was surfing through online platforms, which promised big monetary returns on auction of old currency notes and coins. Surfing brought her on the radar of cyber fraudsters.
