Amalapuram technocrat wins prestigious Fintech Innovator Award

AMALAPURAM born Dr Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Vakkapatla has been conferred the prestigious 'Icon of Asia - Fintech Innovator of the Year' award by Oxford University, United Kingdom.

The honour was presented at the World Leaders Summit, held at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, in recognition of his contributions to research and development in government, banking, and education.

Dr Vakkapatla moved to the UAE in 2009, where he was offered a government position as a senior techno-functional project manager. Prior to that, he completed an M.Com and an MBA in Finance and held various roles from 2001 to 2008.

He holds three PhDs in Taxation, Accounting, and Computer Science for Education, along with two honorary PhDs for his contributions to children's education and climate change.
