Take measures to ensure drinking water for all in summer, says DC

DEPUTY Commissioner T Venkatesh recently instructed officials to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure that there is no drinking water problem anywhere in the district during summer.

Chairing a meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority in the city to discuss issues such as drinking water and fodder for people and livestock as precautionary measures for the current summer, he said, "Summer has already started and the responsibility regarding drinking water should be handled very carefully. The respective tahsildars and Taluk Panchayat Executive Officers should urgently hold a meeting of Panchayat Development Officers at the panchayat level and get support from each village."
