Min: Industrial corridor at Metikurke will take C'durga forward

THE state government is committed to creating employment and as part of this, a mega-industrial corridor is being set up near Metikurke village in Hiriyur taluk, said Planning and Statistics and district in-charge minister D Sudhakar here on Sunday.

After unfurling the national flag during the Republic Day celebrations, he said the industrial corridor will help rope in new industries and create employment. Youth not only from Chitradurga district but also other parts of the country can land jobs here, taking up direct and indirect employment, he added.

The land for the project has already been acquired and handed over to the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, which is developing the plots. Soon, they will be handed over to industrialists, he said.
