IN a shocking incident, a woman in Haridwar district, Uttarakhand, has been arrested for the brutal murder of her six-month-old twin daughters.

According to police, the woman confessed to the crime, stating that she was driven to desperation by the constant crying of her infants, which prevented her from sleeping.

"I couldn't take it anymore," she admitted, revealing the harrowing circumstances that led to her actions.

The incident took place in the Jwalapur Kotwali area, where the mother smothered her twin daughters with a pillow in a fit of rage. "She confessed to the act with unsettling indifference," a police official disclosed.
