In the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the Bank has established Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) across 14 Lead Districts, namely Kanyakumari, Karur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Perambalur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Tenkasi, Thanjavur, Tirunelveli, Tiruvarur, Trichy, Trivandrum, and Virudhunagar. Through this initiative, facilitated by the establishment of Sneha Trust, they have been able to enrich lives of 1,24,752 individuals, since 2009 focusing on empowering rural communities by promoting self-employment and skill development.
