State Govt Struggling to Mobilise Funds: HDK

Lashing out at the state government for targeting the common man and the poor by increasing the prices of essential commodities, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy said the government is struggling to mobilise funds to continue its guarantee schemes in the state.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday after visiting the underconstruction airport, Kumaraswamy said the government failed to generate the expected ₹1.89 lakh crore revenue through taxes and is likely to have a shortfall of ₹15,000 crore. The government is also making futile efforts to balance the shortfall by issuing the trade licenses for over 500 CL 2, CL 7 and CL 9 excise outlets in the state.
