No respite for Maoists even during monsoon, Shah warns

|June 23, 2025
UNION Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday asserted that the Maoists will not be given any respite and breathing space even during the monsoon season, the period when the Red rebels are bit relaxed in Chhattisgarh.
Amid the ongoing success of security forces against the left-wing extremists in the state, the union minister, on a two-day visit to the state, in a forewarning said that during the rainy season the security forces will continue with same vigour on anti-Maoist front to meet the goal of eliminating Naxals from the country by March 31, 2026. Shah took the occasion to appeal to the 'misguided youths' associated with banned outfit CPI (Maoist) to take the benefits of the state government's 'lucrative' surrender and rehabilitation policy.
