JDS-BJP alliance is intact: MP Mallesh Babu

It's against state government for hiking prices of all essential commodities

IN a strong show of dissent against the state government's policy on hiking prices of essential commodities like milk, diesel, and electricity, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will kick-off its statewide 'Jan Aakrosh Yatra' from Mysuru on Monday.

The protest march will be flagged off by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and will begin at Ashoka Circle, proceed through key streets in the city and culminate at Gandhi Square with a massive public meeting.

The yatra is being held under the banner 'Let Chamundeshwari End the Reign of Arrogance' signifying a symbolic resistance to the state government's policies. Prominent BJP leaders, including state BJP president B Y Vijayendra, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R Ashoka, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and other senior party members will participate in the protest.
