CM Urges PM to Release ₹5,300 Cr for Upper Bhadra

CHIEF Minister Siddaramaiah has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to direct the ministries of Finance and Jal Shakti to extend central assistance of Rs 5,300 crore for the Upper Bhadra Project under the PMKSY-AIBP (Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme) considering suitable provision in the upcoming Union Budget of 2025-26.
In a letter to the PM, Siddaramaiah stated that the central assistance helps to achieve the intended purpose of the project which will benefit the farmers and population of the drought-prone districts of Central Karnataka Region.
