A 22-year-old youth was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by a Mangaluru court after he was found guilty for sexually assaulting a minor girl.
The accused named Ashwath from Mudradi village in Hebri taluk of Udupi district had befriended the 17-year-old minor girl through Instagram and convinced her to meet him. On March 15, 2023, he took her from Mulki bus stand in his bike to a lodge in Manipal and raped her. The accused took intimate v
