Maha, Guj biggest beneficiaries of PLI scheme; eastern states fail to cash in

MAHARASHTRA has emerged as the biggest beneficiary of the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, with 212 approved manufacturing units under the initiative.
It is followed by Gujarat with 174 units and Telangana with 141 units.
According to Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada, southern states have also seen significant participation, particularly in IT hardware and automobile production, with Karnataka attracting a total of 113 approved manufacturing units, followed by Tamil Nadu with 109 units and Andhra Pradesh with 98 units.
