Farmers Plan To Boycott Polls Over C&D Land Row

The C&D land issue continues to haunt the farmers of Somwarpet taluk and now to put pressure on the authorities, they are planning to boycott the upcoming elections.
They demanded proper survey of the government land across the taluk and alleged that government paisari land is being identified as forest land in RTC without any notification.
Addressing media persons in Somwarpet on Thursday, Raitha Horata Samithi president Chakravarthy Suresh said: "The government paisari land which is being cultivated by farmers for many decades in Negalle Karkalli village of Somwarpet taluk has been entered as forest land without any notification."
