DK MP seeks state govt's intervention in joint DPR for Shiradi Ghat link

DAKSHINA Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta met state chief secretary Shalini Rajaneesh recently and requested her for state government's intervention in the preparation of combined DPR for road and railway network through the Shiradi Ghat stretch, connecting Mangaluru and Bengaluru.
This comes after Chowta's recent interactions with the minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. In the letter submitted to the chief secretary, Chowta said he has taken up the matter of the ongoing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) being prepared by the National Highways Authority of India and the Indian Railways for the Shiradi
