BJP sowing discord to disturb communal harmony: Hebbalkar

MINISTER of Women and Child Development and Udupi district in-charge Lakshmi Hebbalkar tore into the BJP accusing its leaders of deliberately spreading misinformation and attempting to disturb communal harmony in the state.
Speaking to media persons after inaugurating the newly readied Neere gram panchayat building in Karkala taluk here on Friday, Hebbalkar said that the opposition is making baseless allegations against the Congress-led government in the state in a bid to sow seeds of discord.
"There is an attempt to portray the Congress government as anti-Hindu. This is a false narrative aimed at misleading people and creating division in society," she fumed and added that the opposition BJP has no meaningful issue to debate.
