The 22nd Annual Grand Iftar Koota, hosted by Alva's Education Foundation, was held at the Krishisiri campus in Vidyagiri on Saturday.
The event witnessed participation of over 12,000 people, including students, faculty, and local residents, reaffirming Alva's commitment to fostering communal harmony and unity. A mass prayer was arranged following the Iftar.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind State Secretary Mohamad Kunhi delivered the Ramadan message. Addressing the audience, Kunhi emphasized that societal transformation can only be achieved through goodness and love. "Evil cannot be countered with evil; instead, it should be overcome with righteousness and compassion," he remarked.
