Water released from Vaigai dam for paddy cultivation

Ministers I Periyasamy and P Moorthy on Sunday released water from Vaigai Dam for irrigating 45,041 acres of farmland, including 1,797 acres in Dindigul, ahead of Kuruvai cultivation, which typically begins in June and lasts till September.
About 900 cusecs of water were released from the reservoir, stated a press note.
