CITING lack of action against preventing solid waste dumping in culverts near Meenakshi college,"resulting in the clogging" of the flow in Panthalkudi canal, residents urge the corporation to take action towards addressing the issue.
The Panthalkudi canal, which takes water from Sellur tank to Vaigai river, is filled with sewage from Sellur area. The sewage water is being treated near Meenakshi college before being released into the Vaigai river. In recent years the water flow in the canal has slowed down causing the sewage mixed water
