Traffic Snarl-Ups Paralyze Muzhappilangad Beach Roads as Visitor Rush Rises

TRAFFIC jams are playing a spoilsport in Muzhappilangad beach tourism. Visitors have been flocking to the drive-in beach since it was reopened post renovation last month, leading to severe traffic snarls on all the roads leading to the beach as well as on the national highway reach at Muzhappilangad.
There are four main roads in the Muzhappilangad panchayat that lead to the beach — Edakkad Road, Kulam Bazaar Road, Madam Road near Muzhappilangad and the road near Youth flyover. Although Edakkad and Madam are wide roads, vehicles mainly pass through Kulam Bazaar and the Youth Road to the beach.
