MDF Objects to Priyanka's Letter to Minister Rijiju Seeking Relaxation

THE Malabar Development Forum (MDF) has raised objections to the letter sent by Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi to Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, requesting permission for Haj pilgrims to shift their embarkation point from Kozhikode airport to other airports in Kerala, citing the high airfare charged at Kozhikode for Haj travel this year.
Priyanka wrote to Rijiju, urging that either the high airfare at Kozhikode airport for Haj pilgrims be reduced or permission be granted to shift the embarkation point. Her letter also included a petition submitted to her by Haj pilgrims relying on Kozhikode airport.
The MDF has expressed dissatisfaction with Priyanka's emphasis on shifting the embarkation point from Kozhikode to other airports.
