EVM warehouse to be constructed in time-bound manner: CEO

WITH Kottayam being the lone district in the state without a dedicated warehouse for the election department, the Election Commission has initiated steps to develop a permanent facility for storing the electronic voting machines (EVMs) in the district.
Chief Electoral Officer Dr Rathan U Khelkar, who visited Kottayam on Friday, said the warehouse for storing EVMs in Kottayam will be constructed in a time-bound manner.
