On Friday, the officer's family rejected the magisterial probe the government ordered, claiming they mistrusted the government and demanded a CBI investigation. A case was registered on Friday in Police Station Civil Lines, Patiala, on the statement of Colonel Bath, who names the officers who assaulted him and describes their roles in the assault.
