4,000 cusecs of water will be released; Minister urges people to use the water for drinking purpose
PUBLIC Works and District In-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi has ordered the release of water from the Hidkal Reservoir into the Ghataprabha River on Friday. A total of 2 TMC (Thousand Million Cubic Feet) of water will be released over six days.
The release will begin on Thursday at 6 pm, and the water is meant exclusively for drinking purposes. Jarkiholi has urged the public to make good use of this opportunity.
