Six bawadis revived to tackle water shortage in V'pura

THE Vijayapura City Corporation has launched a significant initiative to revive and restore around six ancient bawadis (open wells) across the city, aiming to make their water usable once again.
These centuries-old structures had either been closed or were unused due to accumulation of silt and garbage over the years. Having been an important source of water for decades in the past, authorities have now decided to revive these bawadis.
