JAGADGURU Sarangadhara Deshikendra Mahaswamiji of Saranga Math in Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh lauded the Sharanabasaveshwar Samsthan for dedicating the 40-day long religious and social discourse to commemorate the holy month of Shravana in honour of 12th Century Social Reformer Mahatma Basaveshwara which began here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the socio-religious discourses at the Akhila Bharata Shivanubhava Mantapa on Thursday, Deshikendra Mahaswamigalu said that the Sharanabasaveshwar Samsthan was the first religious institution in the entire Karnataka to dedicate the socio-religious discourse organised during the month of Shravana to create awareness among the people about the various facets of the life and contribution of Mahatma Basaveshwara after the State Government declared the 12th Century S
