Robotic scavenger launched in Raichur; official says goal is to make city clean

Raichur City Corporation has taken a historic step by becoming the first in Karnataka to implement Bandicoot, India's first robotic scavenger, for cleaning manholes.
On Wednesday, Raichur City Corporation Commissioner Jubin Mohapatra launched the robotic scavenger, the Bandicoot machine, designed to clean manholes.
The Commissioner personally observed its first operation carried on the road next to the corporation's office on the old DC's office building premises of the city.
