Singapore country partner for Utkarsh Odisha summit

SINGAPORE would be the first country partner with 'Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025', which is scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29 next year.

High Commissioner of Singapore to India Simon Wong announced this during a meeting with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi here on Tuesday. He informed that Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will visit Odisha during his India tour in January.

"Odisha is the only state the Singapore President chose to visit as he sees the huge opportunity for strengthening business partnership with the state along with the existing cultural ties. The focus will be on the state's potential in petrochemicals, green energy and skills," Wong said.
