UNION Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs and New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi has torn apart the budgetary proposals of the state government and dubbed it as a move to appease a particular community.
He also charged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with not giving much to Kittur Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka, calling it a severe injustice. Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Joshi said, "Siddaramaiah's budget looks as if it has been presented to mollify the Muslim community neglecting the fiscal condition of the state. While the state's debt to GDP ratio has crossed 23 per cent and debt on every person in the state has reached Rs one lakh."
