Tributes paid to Dr Rajkumar on his birth anniv in Ballari, Haveri

AS part of the birth anniversary celebrations of Kannada cinema legend Dr Rajkumar, officials and members of various pro-Kannada organisations paid floral tributes to his statue in Dr Rajkumar Park in Ballari city on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mohammed Zubair said that Dr Rajkumar, with his unique acting skills, played a significant role in promoting Kannada language and culture at the national level. "All his films reflected various aspects of life. We all grew up watching his movies," he said.

Kalyana Karnataka Horata Samiti president Sirigeri Panniraj lauded the state government's decision to celebrate Dr Rajkumar's birth anniversary in all district headquarters.
