Devotees of Veereshwara Punyashrama are demanding that the state government should allot Rs 6.25 crore to complete the construction of Pandit Puttaraj Memorial Hall, in the upcoming budget.
DEVOTEES of Veereshwara Punyashrama are demanding that the state government should allot Rs 6.25 crore to complete the construction of Pandit Puttaraj Memorial Hall, in the upcoming budget. Construction of the hall was halted in 2016 due to shortage of funds.
Veereshwara Punyashrama's seer Pandit Puttaraj Gavai played a key role in building an ashram and imparting free education, food and accommodation for thousands of specially-abled students in Gadag.
After the seer died in 2010, his devotees planned to build a hall in his memory on the premises of Punyashrama.
