A joint survey by Agriculture, Horticulture and Revenue departments has estimated extensive crop damage in Dharwad district due to recent heavy rain.
District Minister Santosh Lad announced that the preliminary assessment puts the loss at 93,547 hectares of agricultural crops and 4,065 hectares of horticultural crops, bringing the total area affected to 97,612 hectares.
