IAS officers running parallel govt in TN: Judge

JUSTICE N Anand Venkatesh of the Madras High Court on Friday commented that IAS officers are running a parallel government in the state and this would have dangerous consequences.

Apparently irked by the judge's comments, Additional Advocate General J Ravindran, later in a counter-attack, told him that it is Chief Minister MK Stalin, who is running the government and not any of the officers. "The government is taking exception to the comments of the Lordship. The government is run by Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin and not by any IAS officers," he said when the petitions that led the judge's remark came up for hearing post lunch.
