An MLA of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena triggered an uproar on Wednesday after a video went viral showing him assaulting a canteen staffer at the MLA Hostel in Mumbai for being served 'stale' food.
The Opposition demanded an FIR against the ruling alliance MLA, Sanjay Gaikwad, and his suspension from the assembly. Shiv Sena (UBT) legislator Anil Parab accused Gaikwad of being high on power, and said such incidents also damage the image of CM Devendra Fadnavis.
