In a major political development ahead of the 2026 Assembly polls, the BJP has affected a significant internal reshuffle in Puducherry with the Ministry of Home Affairs appointing BJP MLA A John Kumar as minister and three state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice Presidents—E Theeppainthan, GNS Rajasekaran, and V Selvam—as nominated MLAs to the Puducherry Assembly on Friday.
The vacancy was created for the new appointments following the resignation of Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister AK Sai Saravanan Kumar from the N Rangasamy-led cabinet and three nominated MLAs—VP Ramalingam, K Venkatesan, and RB Ashok Babu on Jun
