NZP's zoo ambassadors to sensitise students on wildlife conservation

IN a unique initiative aimed at fostering interest among students about wildlife conservation, the Nandankanan Zoological Park has engaged 71 students from different schools across the state as zoo ambassadors.

Zoo deputy director Sanath Kumar N said the engagement of the ambassadors was recently declared by Forest, Environment and Climate Change minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia. "These zoo ambassadors will serve as an important link for spreading awareness and encouraging participation of students in conservation efforts at the school level," he added. As part of the initiative, the zoo is also organising orientation programme for these ambassadors.
