IN a crackdown on irregularities in Maiyan Samman Yojana, the Hemant Soren government's flagship scheme for women, IDs of three computer operators in Jharkhand's Garhwa have been cancelled.
Garhwa deputy commissioner Shekhar Jamuar had ordered a probe after this newspaper reported that common service centre (CSC) operators were behind the irregularities. Action was taken against the operators as the probe confirmed this newspaper report. Besides cancellation of their IDs, the misappropriated amount was recovered from the three operators—Navneet Kumar Patel, Satyanarayan Gupta, and Ajit Prajapati.
