TO prevent fire accidents in buses, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is installing advanced fire alarm systems in its fleet. Initially, the new fire safety technology is being implemented in air-conditioned and long-distance buses, where the risk of fire mishaps is higher. The corporation plans to gradually extend the system to all buses to enhance passenger safety and security.
