RASHTRIYA Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that everyone is welcome to the Sangh Shakhas except those who consider themselves descendants of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
RASHTRIYA Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that everyone is welcome to the Sangh Shakhas except those who consider themselves descendants of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Asked about the participation of Muslims in Shakhas, he stressed that the doors of the organisation are open for anybody who doesn't mind chanting 'Bharat mata ki jai' and showing respect for the national flag.
Bhagwat's reference to Aurangzeb comes weeks after a row broke out in the country over the 17th-century ruler's tomb after Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi expressed praise for the Mughal leader.
