April 02, 2025

A raging blaze devoured a firecracker warehouse in Gujarat's Banaskantha district on Tuesday morning, claiming at least 21 lives and leaving five injured.

- DILIP SINGH KSHATRIYA @ Ahmedabad

Several workers were trapped inside the Deepak Firecrackers' facility when fire erupted at 9:30 am. A violent explosion, likely triggered by volatile materials used in firecracker manufacture, ignited the warehouse in Deesa area. The sheer force of the blast reduced an adjacent godown to rubble, hurling debris 200 meters away and scattering human remains across the site.
