Sonipat shootout: Gangsters fired 24 rounds, SI hit on leg

TWO senior Delhi Police of ficers and one sub-inspector (SI) came under the firing of the gangsters in Haryana's Sonepat district last night, police officials said.
The SI received a gunshot wound while the two officers escaped unharmed as the bullets hit their bulletproof vest, officials added.
According to police, the gun battle ensued at around 8:30 pm on Friday between the joint teams of the Haryana and Delhi police and the three gangsters on Chinoli road near Kharkhoda village in Sonepat district.
Three gangsters, including two allegedly involved in the shooting down of a man at a Burger King food outlet in Delhi last month, were killed during the encounter. They were identified as Ashish alias Lalu, Vicky alias Chota and Sunny Gujjar
Foreign-based fugitive. gangster Himanshu Bhau, who had taken responsibility for the food outlet killing a few days back through a purported social media post, claimed that three of his associates had been picked up by the cops and would be killed in a "fake encounter".
