Share list of pharmacists selling restrictive drugs illegally: Govt to med body

IN a bid to prevent substance abuse, the Delhi Drugs Control Department has asked All Chemists Association Delhi to send data on pharmacies which are selling restrictive drugs, have a high potential for abuse and addiction and include narcotics and psychotropics but haven't installed CCTV cameras inside their premises.

An order has been issued to the head of the chemists' association emphasising the direction's immediate compliance. According to the department, the direction was in compliance with the Joint Action Plan prepared by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau.
