Punjab should procure crops at MSP, says Saini

Senior leaders of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), that spearheaded the Delhi farmers' protest in 2020-21, met the agitating farmers of 'Delhi Chalo' march, including Jagjit Singh Dallewal of SKM non-political, who has been on a fast-unto-death agitation since November 26, at Khanauri on Punjab-Haryana border on Friday.

The SKM is not part of the 'Delhi Chalo' protest that has recently crossed its 300th day. The agitation is led by Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and SKM (non-political). However, a growing consensus suggests the need for a collective effort to push for 13 common demands, including a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.

The team comprising Rakesh Tikait, president of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait), Harinder Singh Lakhowal, BKU (Lakhowal) general secretary, Manjit Singh Dhaner, BKU Dakaunda president, and several others reached the venue.
