PM to visit Punjab, Himachal on Sept 9 to assess flood loss

As Punjab and Himachal Pradesh grapple with devastating floods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the states on September 9 to take stock of the situation.
The Punjab government has estimated that the loss from the disaster amounts to ₹13,289 crore.
In Himachal Pradesh, Modi will visit Kangra and is expected to conduct an aerial survey to assess the situation caused by cloudbursts and flash floods. He is also likely to hold a meeting with the officials, said a state BJP leader.
