Pak name squad but reiterate threat

AFTER a drama-filled Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced their 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup on Sunday.

But the squad announcement came with the caveat that they were still not sure of taking part in the tournament.
“We are selectors, and our job is to pick the team,” former pacer Aaqib Javed, now a member of the selection committee, told reporters. “We’ve announced the team very close to the (ICC) deadline. The government will decide on our participation. So, Ican say nothing on that front. That’s what the chairman (Naqvi) had said, too, so we’ll wait for their decision,” he added. It’s to be noted that they were always going to make the announcement on Sunday.
