MHA official, Punjab DGP meet fasting Dallewal, urge him to take medical aid

FOLLOWING the Supreme Court's order, a director in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Mayank Mishra, and Punjab Director-General of Police Gaurav Yadav, today met fasting farmer leader Dallewal at the Khanauri border (Punjab and Haryana border) as Dallewal's fast unto death entered the 20th day and enquired about his health.
Both Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav and Director MHA Mayank Mishra reached the Khanauri border and met fasting farmer leader 70-year-old Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been sitting on fast unto death since November 26 and also heard his demands besides enquired about his health.
The apex court had also directed that the farmer leader be provided medical help and persuaded him to break his indefinite fast, saying his life was precious.
