India's space sector to boom soon, to initiate moon landing by 2040: ISRO

IN the booming space sector for public and private players, Victor Joseph, Associate Scientific Secretary, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday spoke about the organisation's roadmap for Gaganyaan by 2025, for which vehicle tests and uncrewed missions with the launch vehicle are ongoing and will be completed by next year.
The project aims to send a human crew to an orbit of 400 km and bring them back safely to Earth by landing in Indian waters.
He also highlighted that India plans to have a man on the Moon by 2040 which will be a stepping stone in Indian space history and will also see a huge investment from private companies, outlining the future of India's space exploration.
