Gogoi: Oppn won't let NDA govt bulldoze Budget session

INDIA bloc will not allow the NDA government to bulldoze the Budget session of Parliament to be held from July 22 to August 12, said Gaurav Gogoi, Congress' Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha.
In an interview with this newspaper, the Jorhat MP said the Opposition will raise crucial issues such as Manipur, NEET, Agniveer, cross-border terrorism in Jammu, food inflation and unemployment.
"Congress also wants to debate on matters related to Indian foreign policy. We are concerned that under PM Modi, India's influence in South Asia is diminishing and our neighbors are looking elsewhere for their countries' economic progress," he said.
While the inaugural session of the 18th Lok Sabha witnessed disruption and chaos, Gogoi said that NDA has a greater responsibility to run Parliament smoothly.
