Court orders FIR against Kejriwal over Dwarka illegal banners

A city court on Tuesday directed the police to register an FIR against former CM Arvind Kejriwal and others in connection with alleged defacement of public property in 2019.
The order was passed by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Mittal of the Rouse Avenue Court in response to a complaint filed by Shiv Kumar Saxena, who accused Kejriwal and others of violating Section 3 of the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property (DPDP) Act, 2007, by illegally putting up hoardings in Dwarka.
While directing the police to file a compliance report by March 18, the court underlined the gravity of the offence.
