Court extends Kavitha's ED custody

The ED has alleged that Kavitha, the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, was a key member of the 'South Group' that has been accused of paying the AAP kickbacks of 100 crore in return for a big share of liquor licences in the national capital.

Special Judge (PC) Act Kaveri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue Court granted and allowed the application of the central probe agency and directed that the accused be further remanded to ED custody till March 26.

The ED sought further five more day's custody of Kavitha, on the ground that she was not cooperating in the interrogation. "We are strict that we need further 5 more day's custody of her," special counsel Zoheb Hossain, for the ED told the court.
