Before May 6: CM urges SC for early listing of his plea

SENIOR advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, told the Supreme Court on Friday that despite its earlier order to list his plea challenging his arrest and subsequent remand on the week commencing on Apr 29, it was not so, as the auto-generated cause list of the top coart now showed the case as listed for hearing on May 6; thereby he sought urgent listing of his plea.

Singhvi said the apex court had in its last hearing directed that the matter would be listed in the week commencing on April 29. "Please consider it," he pleaded before the SC. To this, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, leading the top court bench, replied, "Move an e-mail. We will consider it." Singhvi informed the bench that the date of May 6 was showing as per the Supreme Court'
